The happiness of snow

It snowed a night of November and through the next day both, children and adults, took advantage to the high meters of snow to turn their stress into happiness for at least that day.

On the afternoon of Saturday the 27th November 2010, the children of the EVAM center of Crissier, located near Lausanne, Switzerland went out of their homes to go and play with snow, and were so happy, as God sent them this white gift from the sky. They were running, sliding, and throwing snow balls on each other, without caring about the cold weather or any thing that could disturb them. One of them felt comfortable to relax on the snow.

Some of the parents and children said that it was their first time to see it snow and for them it was more that just an adventure. This was a funny time for some of them and even a new experience for others.

The adults also went out to share playing with their children and took them photos too. They enjoyed the white colour which gives comfort to our souls, and forgot their problems for a moment.

On the other hand, the people who went for shopping at the near by commercial centre were forced to take the longer route which was more safer than the short cut one that we normally take as it became more dangerous to use it.

After that full snowing day, I went out in the evening. It was a calm night. The snow reflexed a little orange romantic light, it glistered, and it was just like a dream, in fact a real dream. It was snowing in peace. There was nobody in the streets, all the people were resting in their houses, no noise, and no disturbance.

Thanks God for this grace…
